Islam, People, and Culture is an engaging and informative cross-cultural education session specifically tailored for service providers working in diverse communities. Whether you work in healthcare, education, social services, law enforcement, or public policy, this session is designed to equip you with the knowledge and cultural competency needed to better support and engage with Muslim individuals and families.

Participants will:


✅ Gain a foundational understanding of Islamic beliefs and practices
✅ Explore cultural norms and values within Muslim communities
✅ Learn about the impact of Islamophobia and systemic barriers on service access
✅ Reflect on best practices for inclusive, trauma-informed, and respectful service delivery
✅ Engage in open dialogue and Q&A with trained facilitators who bring lived experience and professional expertise

Through real-life scenarios and interactive discussions, you’ll leave with actionable tools to enhance your approach to equity, diversity, and inclusion in your professional practice!

Open to: Service providers, community leaders, students in helping professions, and anyone looking to deepen their understanding of Islam and Muslim cultures.
