{And consult them in the matter. And when you have decided, then rely upon Allah. Indeed, Allah loves those who rely upon Him}. (3:159)

In Islam, “shura” refers to the concept of consultation and mutual decision-making within the community. It’s a fundamental principle rooted in the Quran and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Shura emphasizes the importance of seeking advice, listening to different perspectives, and making decisions collectively rather than individually. This concept promotes synergy, inclusivity, and the well-being of the entire community. With this in mind, we call upon members of the Ummah Mosque and believers in the institution’s mission to support the Muslim community in Nova Scotia; here is a new opportunity for you to make a difference, fulfill the mission, and leave a positive impact that testifies for you before Allah. Let us join hands in achieving our common dream: effective institutions and high-quality services aiming towards a united and vibrant Muslim community, both for us and upcoming generations. We invite you to join one of the organization’s committees, which play a vital role in helping to manage and oversee various projects and activities.
